Indications
Treatment of viral infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by the herpes simplex virus, including initial and recurrent genital herpes. Suppression (prevention of recurrences) infections caused by the herpes simplex virus in patients with normal immune systems. Prevention of infections caused by the herpes simplex virus in patients with immunodeficiency. Treatment of infections caused by virus Varicella zoster (chickenpox and herpes zoster).
