GMP compliance of Arterium's Kievmedpreparat confirmed

Kievmedpreparat, a part of Arterium Corporation, has confirmed its compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The verification inspection was conducted in end-December by the State Administration of Ukraine on Medicinal Products (SAUMP) – the only Ukrainian body qualified for GMP compliance certification of pharmaceutical producers. The Ukrainian GMP standards are harmonized with the respective EU regulations. In August 2016, the EU updated its GMP requirements, and Kievmedpreparat was among the first manufacturers in Ukraine to verify its compliance with the new European standards. The inspection encompassed Kievmedpreparat's 8 finished pharmaceutical product manufacturing areas: solids, semi-solids, injections, lyophilizates, and suspensions. “For our production to meet these requirements, we had to introduce a number of complex processes – GMP compliance verification for supply chain and additive producers and toxicological risk assessment to name a few.” Arterium's quality and environmental impact manager Iryna Klyaznika said. “The GMP certificate is to prove that Kievmedpreparat's medicinal products meet the highest European standards for pharmaceutical production and quality control.”
