Relania – a new veterinary analgesic

The Arterium Corporation has introduced a new product for veterinary medicine: Relania. This drug is an analgesic that belongs to the group of synthetic opioids. The use of Relania in combination with anaesthetics can reduce acute pain, which prevents the development of chronic pain syndrome, thereby speeding up the recovery of animals after surgery. The uniqueness of the drug is its active substance Butorphanol which is one of the most powerful analgesics used in veterinary practice. To date, Relania is the only veterinary drug with this active substance officially registered in Ukraine. Relania is used to eliminate acute pain of varying intensities. Before surgery this drug is used in a combined anaesthesia with α2-adrenergic receptor agonists and/or anaesthetics. As a mono-use drug, Relania is given after surgery for post-traumatic pain and for therapeutic and diagnostic procedures requiring pain relief.
